US envoy to visit Egypt

US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns is expected to return to Egypt on Friday for the second time in just a couple of weeks as part of ongoing efforts to resolve the political crisis in this Arab country. Burns was here two weeks ago on an official visit to Egypt where he had met interim president Adly Mansour and vice-president for international affairs Mohamed El Baradei, Egypt\'s official news agency (MENA) reported. The visit by the US official aims to show support for Egypt\'s roadmap for democratic transition involving a civilian government and elections. Meanwhile, German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle has left here after a two-day visit to Egypt where he met senior officials on transition and reconciliation
