
The US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Afghan capital of Kabul on Saturday for an unannounced visit to the militancy-hit country, sources said.
Kerry arrived in Kabul at around midday and he will meet with Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah later in the day, the source told Xinhua anonymously.
The top US diplomat will discuss with Afghan leaders the bilateral relations, security and political developments in addition to the war against Taliban militants and other insurgent groups, the source added.
Kerry will also hold a joint press conference with Ghani later on Saturday, he said.
