We are proud of the role and sacrifices made by Emirati women

 H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, has said that women in the UAE have, since the founding of the nation, tackled challenges and stood by her brothers throughout the development and progress of the country's renaissance.

H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed added, "Emirati women, who have sacrificed a great deal and taken on heroic stances, have succeeded establishing themselves as active, empowered members of UAE society on a day to day basis."

On the occasion of Emirati Women's Day, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed congratulated Emirati women for the recognition of their influence in the enlightened journey and prominent role to build the nation.

His Highness stressed that the achievements and successes garnered by women in the UAE are a model of the real partnership in which the wise leadership has long believed in and established within the nation's values and beliefs to further lead the countries development across all sectors and industries.

Sheikh Nahyan praised the strong support and continued care of the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who continue to raise the nation's daughters and their ambitions to new heights, ensuring their active involvement to build a cohesive society.

Emirati women have triumphed in all fields, and this all began with the agency provided by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who believed in women's potential to help build the nation, he said, adding that the wise leadership has adopted this legacy and continue to work every day to ensure that the UAE continues to remain as a great example of women's empowerment.

His Highness congratulated H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, on the occasion of Emirati Women's Day, dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of women in the UAE. Sheikh Nahyan also appreciated the pioneering and generous role that Her Highness has played to uplift the status of women in the UAE across all fields.

"We are proud of the role that Emirati women play in supporting the country's leadership and excellence, through their robust and steadfast positions. We also express our sincere appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Mothers of Martyrs, who have lost their beloved sons in support of the homeland's quest for truth, stability and security," Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed concluded.
