The First Energy Bank (FEB) has donated 32 wireless automatic digital insulin pumps (OmniPod Diabetes Insulin Pumps) for patients with diabetes.
The Health Ministry’s Under-Secretary Dr. Aysha Mubarak Bu Ong received the donated devices, in the presence of officials from the ministry, the Salmaniya Medical Complex and FEB.
Dr. Aysha Bu Ong expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to FEB for its kind donation, noting that the OmniPod Diabetes Insulin Pump will upgrade the quality of the medical care provided for diabetes patients.
The OmniPod insulin pump can make the patients’ diabetes management easier.
With the OmniPod’s advanced insulin pump technology, the patients can sleep in, eat, exercise and just live their life more easily. They are no longer held back by their insulin schedule or tethered by a pump with tubing. The Pod holds and delivers their insulin. The PDM (Personal Diabetes Manager) wirelessly programmess their personalised insulin delivery, calculates suggested doses and insulin on board, and has a convenient, built-in FreeStyle blood glucose metre.
