With winter on in full swing, many of us are susceptible to cold and cough, thanks to the drop in temperature and our immunity. If you aren't too keen on visiting the doctor or surrendering yourself to antibiotics, we give you five simple ways to beat those winter blues! Take a hot water shower: A hot water bath always soothes and relaxes the body. Plus it will ease any chest congestion and help you breathe easily. Drink lots of hot soups: There's nothing better than steaming hot chicken or vegetable soup for your body. During cold, your body needs all the pampering it can get. Hot soup will not only clear the air passage, but will give you the much needed strength and energy. Have a spoonful of honey: Consuming pure and natural honey is an excellent way to getting rid of whooping cough. Salt-water gargle: Take a teaspoon of salt and mix it in warm water. Use this mixture to gargle at least four times a day. It will give you relief from a sore throat. Take steam vapours: Steam inhalation is effective to cure coughs and headaches that occur due to congestion. The steam will help in discharging mucus which will clear the congestion.
