All fishermen who were injured when their fishing boat capsized in North Sinai have checked out of hospital after receiving necessary treatment, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The statement put the death toll at 18 while the Red Sea Port Authority said earlier in the day that it rose to 20 after more bodies were recovered from water.
On Sunday, a container ship rammed into Badr el Islam fishing boat at Gebel El Zeit's Red Sea area between Ras Ghareb and El-Tor port.
Naval units, oil companies boats, and five other fishing boats are giving a hand in the search for the missing.
The ship responsible for the mishap was identified as a Panama-flagged vessel that was carrying 220,000 tons of cargo from an Italian port.
Egyptian authorities ordered the container ship to anchor at the Egyptian Red Sea port in Safaga as an investigation had begun into the cause of the collision.
