Health and Population Minister Adel Adwi underlined that health is part and parcel of the Egyptian society, as every citizen has the right to be offered health care at the expense of the state as stipulated by the constitution.
This remark came during the minister's visit on Saturday to new Zifta General Hospital in Gharbiya governorate.
The hospital was developed at a total cost of 120 million pounds after its development stopped 15 years ago.
Adwi said that the cabinet approved raising the allowances of the workers in the health sector to upgrade the medical services offered to citizens.
He further warned the doctors and the nursing staff against committing violations against the rights of citizens.
