Wanting to lose fat or look young are perhaps the most unfulfilled desires of all times, but few - in Dubai at least - can blame it on not having enough avenues. Gyms, spas, wellness centres - there are any number of them offering any number of diets, fitness regimes, slimming and anti-ageing techniques. Yet, the LPG Endermospa, a new French franchise chain, believes it can cut through the clutter. \"We have a patented technique that is 100 per cent natural, non-invasive and scientifically proven to remove cellulite, break body fat and work on facial and body muscles to achieve a firm, slim or young look,\" says Dr Deepa Dhavjekar, Operations Manager. Opened last May, the spa - which has two outlets in Dubai with a third coming up in Abu Dhabi - appears to be a huge draw among both men and women, young and old alike, as it claims it has no restrictions or side-effects. Developed by Louis Paul Guitay, a Frenchman, the LPG concept entails two separate machines - the Cellu M6 Endermo Lab and a Huber Motion Lab - which together work on the skin and body over a series of sessions. Article continues below The Cellu M6 does the lipo massage to remove cellulite, break body fat, contour and resculpt the body with the use of a roller. The machine also does an endermolift on the face and works well in the treatment of double chins, wrinkles, fine lines, scars, dark circles, and skin rejuvenation, says Dr Dhavjekar. \"It is non-invasive and helps drain toxins while releasing muscle stiffness and soreness.\" Once the lipo massage is complete, the focus shifts to the Huber Motion Lab which takes the patient through a programmed workout. \"Besides strengthening muscles in the spine, it treats coordination, imbalance and posture disorders. It achieves maximum fat-burning activity in less than three minutes,\" says the doctor. A minimum of 10 sessions are recommended for visible results, she said, adding that the cost of the programme is Dh4,550.
