
The supervisory committee of the seventh annual conference of the Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED) held here Thursday its meeting to discuss preparations for the conference, which will be held in Jordan next November.
The meeting was attended by a set of experts and representatives from specialized organizations and centers of studies and research. The participants discussed the most important challenges and options for food security in the Arab region .
In a statement following the meeting, Chairman of AFED Adnan Badran said that the AFED's report on food security seeks to find out solutions for achieving food security for rapidly-increasing populations. The meeting will also look to find solutions to the impact of climate change on land and water resources.
