
Minister of Health Sadiq bin Abdul-Kareem Al-Shehabi received Irish Cardiothoracic Surgeon Professor J. Mark Redmond
The professor's 2-day visit which concludes today aims to benefit from Irish expertise and to assess and develop services provided to pediatric cardiac patients.
The Minister emphasized the Bahraini-Irish cooperation relations especially in the field of health, welcoming the reinforcement of these relations and opening areas for training of the Ministry's medical, nursing and technical staff members in this specialization.
The Minister praised the directives of the Kingdom's leadership and the Government's efforts in developing the health sector and the diligence of Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on boosting services provided to citizens aimed to enhance their livelihood.
MOH's Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Training Dr. Mohammed Amin Al Awadhi, Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Zakariya Hubeil, Consultant Cardiologists Dr. Omar Al Awadhi, Pediatrician Cardiologist Dr. Khaled Thani, Ministry of Health (MOH)'s Strategic Planning Section's Health Planner Hassan Al Majid were present during the meeting.
