Bahraini Ministry participates in Health Awareness Seminar

The Ministry of Health participated in the Eighth Health Awareness Seminar themed "Health Awareness and the New Media" currently hosted in Riyadh, KSA.
The seminar is being organised by the King Khalid Specialist Eye Hospital in association with the General Directorate for PR, Media and Health Awareness in the Saudi Health Ministry. The seminar discusses the definition of new media and how to invest it scientifically in health awareness programmes and activities and to promote health. The seminar aims at the exchanging of expertise and experiences in health awareness in the new media.
The Health Ministry's Director of Health Promotion Directorate Dr. Amal Al-Jowder chaired one of the sessions and participated in the seminar through the presentation of two working papers one the opportunities and challenges of the new media and health promotion and also the new media tools and the role of e-research in boosting health.
The Ministry's head of production in the Directorate of Health Promotion Mona Hajji contributed a poster which illustrated the extent of effectiveness of social media in the Ministry's Health Promotion Directorate
