Bahrain Defense Force\'s- (BDF\'s) - Royal Medical Services, participated in the joint medical drill - \"Medical Cooperation2\" - conducted during the period from 28 Dec. 2011 to 5 January 2012 in the sisterly State of Qatar\'s capital city Doha with participation of medical services corps from the GCC countries. The exercise comes within existing cooperation between the BDF and the sisterly armed forces in the GCC countries and aims at training administration officers in the medical services on the application of command-and-staff medical planning and support procedures as well as liaison between various directorates from the GCC armed forces to develop the spirit of joint action. The drill included procedures for dealing with cases of injuries resultant from WMDs, evacuation from contaminated areas and application of a range of medical evacuation procedures. This participation supports the already solid mutual bonds between GCC armed forces for exchanging of expertise, provision of opportunities, interaction and closely working together which gives added value to mutual efforts and developing in various spheres including the military medical field.
