
China reported one more human H7N9 virus infection on Tuesday. A 71-year-old man in Foshan City, in south China's Guangdong Province was confirmed on Sunday to have contracted the virus, according to a spokesman with Guangdong's Department of Health. The patient is currently in a critical condition and is receiving treatment at a local hospital, said the spokesman. The southern province reported one more death and four new human cases of H7N9 infection on Monday. So far, more than 120 people in China have been infected by the H7N9 strain of bird flu this year. Thirty-one of them died.
