Dolphin Energy Qatar’s health, safety and environment (HSE) department recently held a blood donation drive in partnership with the Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Blood Donor Unit. “I am very glad to see our people contributing to such an initiative which helps to save lives. We are committed to serving the community in every way possible and giving blood illustrates another area where we can provide support,” said Dolphin Energy general manager Adel Ahmed Albuainain. Dolphin Energy Qatar and HMC have held blood donation programmes in the past and the company also took part in World Blood Donor Day last year. “Demand for donations is on the increase due to the opening of new hospitals, population growth and the expansion in cardiovascular surgeries and stem cell transplants. Our involvement helps to maintain safe stockpiles for the nation’s hospitals and sends a clear message to others to embrace this important cause. We look forward to supporting blood donation drives in the future,” Albuainain added
