Ebola patients didn\'t show symptoms

Uganda\'s health minister said the outbreak of Ebola hemorrhagic fever resulting in 14 deaths went undetected because the patients did not show normal symptoms. Health minister Dr. Christine Ondoa said Sunday patients were vomiting and had fevers but did not show any other symptoms indicative of Ebola, CNN reported. Typical symptoms include fever, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, red eyes, rashes and hemorrhaging. Uganda\'s President Yoweri Museveni asked people to avoid physical contact after the virus killed a man native to Uganda\'s capital, Kampala, BBC reported. The first Ebola victim died about 100 miles west of Kampala. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Doctors Without Borders have sent authorities to Uganda to help control the outbreak.
