
Health Minister Dr Maha Al-Rabbat witnessed on Monday a ceremony marking the International Day of Disability at Imbaba's neurology center. During the ceremony, Rabbat honored a number of disabled people with medals and certificates of appreciation for winning in international championships, asserting that this celebration aims at conveying a message to the civil society to back this category of people. She also reiterated the need for involving the disabled people in the society, noting that the number of people with disabilities in Egypt reached nine million. Rabbat also pointed out that the new draft constitution included articles that would protect the dignity of the disabled and guarantee them a share in work and an honorable life style.
