Free medical camp for women workers

Dubai-based volunteer organisation Jeevanam held a first-of-its kind free medical camp for women workers at the Transguard staff accommodation in Al Quoz on Friday. Around 20 doctors, along with paramedics and volunteers, conducted general health checkups including checking workers’ blood pressure, testing for diabetes and cholesterol. The women workers also underwent ultrasound scanning and Pap smear tests, which many often cannot undertake due to the prohibitive costs of these tests.from gulfnews.com
