
Senior officials of the GCC Red Crescent societies will hold a meeting next Wednesday in Kuwait to discuss means of boosting cooperation, GCC Secretariat General announced Monday.
The officials will tackle the humanitarian situation in neighboring countries, especially that of the internally displaced and refugees. They will also shed light on finding ways of helping the unfortunates in Yemen.
In addition, the meeting will focus on unifying the GCC humanitarian bodies' stance regarding regional and international events, enhancing their performance pertaining to international disaster response law, implementing humanitarian education and organizing joint seminars and workshops.
The GCC Red Crescent societies' senior officials meet twice annually to discuss various matters before they are referred to higher meeting by the GCC Red Crescent Chiefs.
