Gulf Committee for Electronic Health discusses in its first meeting tomorrow Monday in Kuwait the Electronic Linkage Project for expats workers programmes and developing an appropriate mechanism for the application of full integrated electronic link between the GCC Member States. The meeting will be attended by Director-General of the Executive Office of the Council of Health Ministers of GCC countries, Dr. Tawfeeq Bin Ahmed Khoja and representatives of Information Systems Department for techniques and technology and the public health administration for expats labor in the GCC countries. The meeting also aims at developing an automated system for health information and applying the latest systems and capabilities in the field of e-health for the technical aspects. In addition, it will discuss the possibility of an electronic link between health facilities, storing data and medical records, archiving X-rays and activate Instant distant medical contact with expats centers. During the meeting, the Executive Office of the Council of Health Ministers of GCC states will present a brief on the electronic linkage project for expats programmes and ways to apply it.
