Palestinian Health Minister Jawad Awad has pleaded to international health organizations to immediately intervene to save hospitals and health centers in Gaza, especially the two hospitals of Kamal Adwan and Beit Hanoun, from collapsing after Israeli strikes hit nearby buildings.
"The disastrous humanitarian and health situation in Gaza threatens hospitals and health centers," Awad said, warning that health institutions would be unable to offer medical services to the injured and patients.
Awad added that the Israeli escalation, the targeting and sieging of hospitals by bombing buildings in their vicinity, and preventing medical teams from evacuating the injured and directly targeting them all constitute a crime against humanity and a violation of international conventions.
The Ministry of Health continues to coordinate with international donors and human rights organizations to provide the necessary medical supplies and enter them into Gaza on a regular basis, he said.
