
Health Minister Ali Hiyasat met on Thursday with Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Sami Al Saleh to discuss cooperation in the field of health between the two countries as well as ways to further boost it.The minister said that Jordan has received over the past three years a large number of Syrian refugees, who placed a huge pressure on the Kingdom’s health sector, adding that the government provided support to the ministry to enable it to continue providing services to the refugees.The ambassador praised the accomplishments made by Jordan, mainly the progress achieved in the medical field, noting that Saudi nationals prefer to receive treatment at Jordanian hospitals and specialized medical centers due to the attention they receive there.He said his country will continue to provide health support to Jordan, adding that a Saudi hospital will be opened soon in the Kingdom to provide health services to the Syrian refugees.
