
The Jordanian Ministry of Health announced Thursday evening a new case tested positive for the Coronavirus infection.
The new case, involving an Arab national, brought the total number of cases since disease was first discovered in the Kingdom in 2012 to 12, including six fatalities, said Director of the Ministry's Healthcare Department Dr. Bashir Al-Qasir .
The patient is receiving medication in a private hospital, Dr. Al-Qasir said in a press release, describing the patient's health condition as stable.
He added that the heath authorities quarantined the patient and those who have been in contact him for the past two weeks as a precautionary measure.
