
Kuwait Health Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah held an open session with the public through the ministry\'s official Twitter account on Monday. Sheikh Mohammad, also Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, answered queries over expansion of hospitals and building new ones, and how to improve health care quality. He said there were around 9,000 beds in hospitals in Kuwait and another 6, 900 beds would be added following the expansion projects. Sheikh Mohammad said the ministry was certifying more than 50 doctors specialized in family medicine every year. He said training courses and workshops were being held for doctors and nurses to keep them updated with recent medical techniques. The minister said he assigned a team of doctors to present their vision over health insurance \"but the implementation of this system needs a lot of time and effort.\" Asked about mistakes committed by doctors, Sheikh Mohammad said mistakes could happen in any part of the world \"and in Kuwait people who complain can go to the concerned hospital or ministry or criminal investigation authorities.
