
Minister of Health Dr. Ali Al-Obaidi made several fruitful meetings here on Wednesday to strengthen ties with the healthcare sector in Turkey. Al-Obaidi, accompanied by a large delegation, visited a number of specialized hospitals to get acquainted with the Turkish health system; the delegation includes dean of the diplomatic corps in Istanbul Consul General of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Fahad Salem Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah and a number of Kuwaiti and Turks officials. The minister toured several specialized hospitals, and was briefed on services provided there and standards applied based on a number of countries. The minister told KUNA that his current visit to Turkey, which comes within the framework of the consolidation of bilateral relations aimed at highlighting technology, knowledge and cooperation between the two countries. Al-Obaidi expressed keenness to develop the country's health sector and seek to benefit from the development in Turkey's health sector. He added that there are significant challenges facing both countries in the field of health and most importantly to reduce the number of deaths among children in the future.
