
A Kuwaiti humanitarian relief official expressed here on Monday hope that the consultative meeting of the regional Red Crescent and the Red Cross societies for the Middle East and North Africa, which began in Tunisia today, would come out with positive results to contribute to the activation of relief and humanitarian work in the region. Director General of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Abdulrahman Al-Oun said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the meeting related to humanitarian activities are usually "useful" and help in strengthening cooperation between the national, regional and international organizations concerned with helping those in need. Al-Oun also expressed hope the gathering would produce tangible results that would contribute to relieving the suffering of the Syrian refugees.He stressed keenness of the KRCS to provide assistance to the displaced Syrians in Syria and neighboring countries, pointing out that the sixth phase of the aid program will be launched in the coming days in Lebanon.
