The Information Department of the Ministry of Health developed the first educational Arabic-language film on the measures to address the suspected and confirms Ebola cases.
The film explains the preventive measures against the disease in a bid to raise the awareness among the medical staff who could be in touch with Ebola patients, Dr. Ghalia Al-Mutairi, director of the department told KUNA on Monday.
"The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed a similar film that failed to include an Arabic version," said Dr. Al-Mutairi who doubles as head of the Ministry's committee on education of infectious disease.
"The film offers the educational material in a special, scientific and very clear way which will be helpful to the Arabic-speaking medical and administrative staff including physicians, nurses and technicians," she added.
Dr. Al-Mutairi advised the health departments of the GCC states and the other Arab countries to take advantage of the film in raising the awareness about the preventive measures against this fatal disease.
