
Dr Hassan Al-Shimmeri, a Kuwaiti physician, is granted the award for the best young surgeon in the Middle East for 2014 at the Arab Health Conference, ending its functions here on Wednesday. Dr Al-Shimmeri is given the award along with two other surgeons from the UAE. The Kuwaiti physician told KUNA he was selected from among 150 candidates by the conference organizer: Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions. Dr Al-Shimmeri, an ear, nose and throat physician, holds fellowships from Harvard University in the United States and McGill University in Canada. The Arab Health Conference began convening last Sunday, attracting a large number of health professionals from the Middle East and the world.
