
Kuwait Consulate in the Chinese province of Guangzhou on Friday urged Kuwaiti nationals to avoid traveling to the bird flu-hit Zhejiang and Guangdong regions. In a press statement obtained by KUNA, the Consulate also advised nationals in the virus-hit regions to take all precautionary measures to avoid direct contact with live poultry and to only buy poultry from reputable stores. It also urged citizens traveling to China to ask for medical help if they became sick with fever and to practice hygiene and cleanliness. In case of emergency, the Consulate asked nationals to contact them on the phone number (0086-13544449630) or to send them e-mail on (kwanzomofa.gov.kw). There have been more than 350 human H7N9 cases reported in China this month including about 109 ending with fatalities.
