Kuwait's "Journey of Hope" boat arrived Friday in Istanbul port, as part of a world tour to shed light on people with intellectual disability.
Upon arrival, the boat crew and representatives were received by Kuwait General Consul in Istanbul Ambassador Sheikh Fahad Salem Sabah Al-Sabah.
The ambassador welcomed the "Journey of Hope" crew and expressed utmost pleasure on their arrival.
In turn, the boat's Executive Director Yusuf Abdulhameed Al-Jassem stressed on the journey's main humanitarian message to the world.
Last week, the boat left the port of Palermo after a successful visit to Sicily Island, its second leg in Italy.
The team, accompanied by officials of the mentally disabled people campaign in Kuwait Khaled Al-Dosari and Meshaal Al-Bader, made a number of meetings organized by Kuwait's Embassy with Italy's competent associations and bodies, and the government of the autonomous region of Sicily.
