
Preventive measures against Ebola virus disease have been taken by the health services of Tamanrasset province (1970 km south of Algiers), particularly at the border regions, said Sunday health officials.
These preventive measures are part of the implementation of the screening and early diagnosis device developed by the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, said the source.
The plan of prevention of this disease has been resuscitated immediately after its spread in some African countries through the mobilization of the medical staffs at the level of the border regions, said the sector’s Interim Director Mohamed Bika.
The preventive operation is also meant to raise the awareness of inhabitants of the border localities and travellers to African countries about the risks of this contagious diseases, said the official.
