
Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President Xi Jinping of People\'s Republic of China, a Memorandum of Understanding in the health area, was signed between the two countries today in the Capital City Beijing. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ghanim Fadhl Al-Buainain, and Chairperson of the National Commission for Health and Family Planning of the Republic of China (PRC) Lee Bin. Meanwhile, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed in line with the desire of the two parties to cooperate in all various health areas to achieve the common interests, and improve the health services in both friendly countries. The agreement includes a number of items, the two sides seek to activate to achieve a joint health cooperation between them. The agreement also includes cooperation in the health, alternative medicine, and medical sciences through exchanging information, experts and those working in the health area. The agreement also aims at improving the health researches, the participation of the specialists in the scientific meetings and conferences held by one of the two parties, in addition to exchanging knowledge and experiences in the area of health insurance and therapeutic tourism, and the other areas of health cooperation. Based on the agreement, the two Ministries of Health seek to achieve partnership and cooperation with the private sector institutions working in the area of medicines, and medical devices, as well as calling on the two parties to establish a joint committee to evaluate the cooperation activities between them, where it meets alternately once a year in one of the two countries.
