Kuwait\'s Municipality announced on Tuesday that it had seized 1.4 tons of expired meats during an inspection campaign in the industrial area of Al-Rai. A penalty was filed by inspectors of the Capital governorate\'s food and markets department against a food storehouse for storing the meats that were found frozen and deemed unfit for human consumption, said a statement, adding that the meats would later be disposed of. Meanwhile, Municipality Director General Ahmad Al-Subaih praised the efforts of the department, pledging the body\'s commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring the suitability of food being sold and its compatibility with health and hygiene standards.
