
Therapeutic nutrition specialist, Dr. Ayesha Salem, warned of excessive consumption of fats and sweets during the days of the Eid Al-Fitr, so as not to harm the digestive system and add more kilograms that lead to obesity. Dr. Salem stressed avoiding excessive consumption of red meat and sweet varieties during Eid days that contributes to increase the fat and sugar levels in the blood and may adversely affect health and leads to weight gain. She called on the need to balance the calories taken and arranging three meals a day to help in the completion of food digestion and calories burning processes, and she advised performing fitness exercises.
