
Under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and U.A.E. Minister of Finance, Chairman of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and the patron of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, Essa Al Haj Al Maidoor, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences today opened the 10th Emirates Critical Care Conference (ECCC - Dubai 2014), coincides with the 6th Asia Africa conference of the WFSICCM, 10th International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society (IPACCMS), from April 3rd to 5th, at Dubai Festival City. The conference is being held under the auspices of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences The conference is organised and accredited by the IPACCMS and Dubai Health Authority(DHA) and endorsed by WFSICCM along with many other prominent international societies including Sepsis Surviving Campaign, ESICM, SCCM, JCCMS, KSICM, ISCCM, WSACS, FSICM, NLSICM, ANZICS and others. The Sepsis Surviving Campaign (SSC) is organising the 2nd Middle East meeting where the leaders of SSC will be running a full day track on SSC Guidelines as well as providing an opportunity to meet the experts. At the opening of the Conference, Essa Al Haj Al Maidoor delivered a speech where he stressed that this event in its previous editions was able to achieve a high position, which made it a major conference on the regional and global levels. He pointed out that the convening of this conference confirms the importance of communication and cooperation between various medical institutions and activation capabilities and expertise of local, Arab and international in the field of critical care in the light of scientific and technical progress in various medical sciences.
