
The new version of the regular advanced disaster management training course for volunteers , recently organized by the Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) concluded here today.
The five -day event aimed at building capacity of volunteers in the field of disaster response and practicing various activities on disaster preparedness operations and setting up a qualified team ready to intervene in the event of any disaster.
QRC Secretary-General, Saleh bin Ali Al Mohannadi affirmed that the training session achieved its objectives in honing and upgrading skills of 21 volunteers, who expressed their thanks to QRC on its constant efforts aiming to improve and develop capacity and potential of volunteers so as to be ready to extend a helping hand to those affected anywhere a matter which contributes to enrich humanitarian and voluntary work.
