Russia refutes allegations that Ukrainian servicemen pay fees for aid

 Russia’s health ministry has refuted media allegations that medical assistance to wounded Ukrainian servicemen in Russia was provided on a paid basis, the ministry’s press secretary said on Friday.
“Commenting on media allegations that fees were demanded from wounded Ukrainian servicemen for medical services in Russia, I would like to say the following: any assistance that was offered or will be offered to Ukrainian or any other citizens who need urgent medical aid has always been and will be free,” Oleg Salagai said.
“As for the emotionally-colored words of a regional official, they must have been prompted by the difficult situation over the flow of Ukrainian refugees to the Rostov region,” he said.
