The Saudi Ministry of Health announced Thursday that three Saudis died of the SARS-like coronavirus. The three deceased persons, aged between 24 and 60 years, were admitted to hospitals in the eastern region two months ago, according to a statement by the ministry. They suffered from chronic diseases before testing positive for the virus, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported citing the statement. The three fatalities took to 21 the death toll of the virus with the infection cases amounting to 38, it said, noting that a new infection case was registered in the eastern Al-Ihsaa region.
