
The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) announced the opening of a number of new clinics in the city of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain; with plans to open several medical facilities over the course of this year. The Group Chief Facilities Planning and Maintenance Officer (Corporate Facilities Planning and Maintenance) at SEHA Mohammed Hassan Al-Zaabi Mohammed Hassan Al Zaabi said: "This move comes in line with our vision to provide an excellent network of medical services to everyone in the emirate particularly and the UAE in general. The new AHCs have been supplied with the latest medical equipments. In addition, a well-trained medical and technical staff will provide patients with exceptional medical care." SEHA's news existing clinics include Al Shamkha and Mohammed Bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi, and Sweihan in Al Ain. They offer standard services, including primary care and urgent care, special services on a part-time basis; dermatology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, gynaecology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, ENT, and general dental services, and dedicated multi-specialty / disease programme services; chronic disease clinic - CDC, women and baby clinic, basic prevention / screening programmes, and vaccination. The Abu Dhabi General Service Company "Musanada" is currently supervising on establishing SEHA's clinics. Speaking about other centers that are expected to be opened within this year, Mr Al Zaabi elaborated: "Our goal is to provide the best medical products everywhere in the emirate. So, we are planning to open new medical facilities in Al Zafranah and Al Bahia in Abu Dhabi , as well as Al Hili, Al Hayer and Al Yahr in Al Ain." "The AHCs have been designed in accordance with the highest international healthcare standards in order to aim to provide healthcare services that will meet the increasing needs of the population in the years to come, aligning with our strategy to ease the pressure on hospitals and ensure the medical services to the citizens and residents," Mr. Al Zaabi added. The clinics of Al Shamkha, Al Bahia, Al Yahar, Al Zafranah , Al Hili And Al Hayar cover an area of approximately 3,532 square meters. Each clinic consists of two separate floors. The Sweihan Clinic has a total floor space amounting to approximately 1,400 square meters. They are equipped with examination rooms, two treatment rooms, three paediatric exam rooms, four dental treatment rooms, an emergency room, an orthopaedic fracture room, two specimen collection rooms, a pharmacy, an ultrasound and X-ray room, a nutrition room, and a childhood immunology and vaccination room. The clinics also cater to lectures and workshops with a designated hall, and provide numerous supplementary facilities for the public, such as waiting rooms, prayer rooms, storage rooms, restrooms, and facility maintenance service rooms. SEHA is committed to meet the criteria of Green Buildings in their medical facilities, in line with the government goal to reduce energy and water consumption. It is also keen to cater future healthcare needs and intends to develop the necessary infrastructure system for its health facilities .
