
Tunisian Interim President Moncef Marzouki conferred on Friday with FAO Director-General Jose Graziano da Silva, where they discussed the outcome of the 28th Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Regional Conference for Africa held in Tunis.They also reviewed prospects for co-operation between Tunisia and FAO. Marzouki expressed Tunisia’s willingness to strengthen its partnership with FAO and make the most of its expertise in the achievement of agricultural projects to guarantee food security in the country.Held on the theme “African Youth in Agricultural and Rural Development,” the FAO Regional Conference took place on March 24-27, with attendance of representatives from 51 African countries.
