Derya Sert, the first woman in the world to successfully receive a womb from a cadaveric donor and later became pregnant, had her pregnancy terminated by doctors after they couldn\'t detect fetal heartbeat. Mustafa Unal, the chief physician at Akdeniz University Hospital in Turkey\'s southern province of Antalya, gave information about the pregnancy of Derya Sert who was born without a uterus. \"The 23-year-old recipient, Derya Sert\'s pregnancy had to be terminated in its eighth week after the doctors couldn\'t detect embryonic heartbeat. The patient\'s general condition is stable and she is resting at home. We will continue her in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment after completion of proper conditions,\" Unal said in a statement on Tuesday. Derya Sert underwent the world\'s first cadaveric uterus transplant in August 2011. Her doctors waited a year and a half before initiating her fertility treatment.
