At least 67 people were killed so far of the yellow fever outbreak in the Sudanese capital , Federal Minister of Heath Bahar Idris Abu Garda announced here Thursday, adding that 194 cases were reported, west Darfur. In a statement to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), today, Abu Gharda said that the Ministry of Health has made great effort to curb spread of the disease in cooperation with other relevant bodies. At the end of October, the ministry announced the death of 32 people due to yellow fever, and 50 other cases were reported in central and south Darfur. The Ministry of Health announced, in October, that it is to dispatch technical teams to help tame the outbreak by conducting investigations of new cases, providing blood bank supplies and protective equipment to the affected areas, as well as vaccination.
