1 Iraqi killed, 8 injured in 2 explosions

One Iraqi civilian was killed and eight others injured in a dual explosion - of a car and an improvised device - in the Iraqi city of Baquba on Wednesday. An explosive-strapped car went off close to a market followed by the explosion of a waste disposal vehicle close to the same area, immediately as police were approaching, authorities said. Police forces have cordoned the area and are transporting the injured to nearby hospitals, added the statement.
