A security source said 13 takfiris were killed and nine suspects arrested in a crackdown in Sheikh Zuwaid and Rafah cities, North Sinai.
He added that the troops destroyed 17 terrorist hotbeds and seized 16 vehicles without plates.
Three bombs were remotely exploded, the source concluded.
