18 Daesh militants killed in Iraq's Tikrit

Iraqi Shiite fighters, known as Hashid Shaabi (Popular Mobilization) units, killed 18 militants of Daesh terror group in Tikrit city of Salahuddin province, northern Iraq.
The forces freed some parts of Tikrit, forcing Daesh leaders and militants to flee the city to Mosul, said a leading member of the units.
Daesh is using snipers, suicide bombers and landmines to hinder the advance of the forces in Tikrit, Jabbar Mosawi added.
