2 Egyptian police officers killed in armed attack

A police officer and a conscript were killed after armed attackers opened fire on their patrol car at dawn Sunday, Egypt's Interior Ministry announced. A statement from the ministry said those killed were patrolling the road between Cairo and Suez. The deaths on Sunday came just two days after a police officer was killed in a bomb blast in Cairo's Lebanon square. The attack is the latest deadly assault against the country's security forces.
