
At least two Egyptian troops were killed and eight people were injured in an attack by unknown assailants in Egypt\'s Sinai peninsula, Ahram Online reported. The attack took place Wednesday in the Gisr al-waxy district of northern Sinai\'s al-Arish city. Since the ouster of Mohamed Morsi as president, militants have allegedly been staging repeated attacks against Sinai military and police forces, killing dozens of people, Ahram Online said. At least 16 officers have been killed in attacks on security checkpoints in the region. Source: UPI
