
Two Yemeni soldiers were killed and many others injured inan armed attack that targeted a military patrol in central Yemeni province of AlBaidha .An official security source said in a press release that the gunmen, believed tobelong to Al-Qaeda, laid an ambush for a military patrol in the area of Zi Naemkilling two soldiers and wounding several others, adding that security forces arecurrently chasing the militants who fled towards mountainous areas .Military sources announced last week that arrangements were under way for theexecution of a militarycampaign against al Qaeda-linked militants are active in anumber of regions of the Al Baidha province, along with a campaign currentlytargeting insurgents in the provinces of Shabwa and Abyan.
