3 Iraqi SWAT team members killed, 1 injured

Three members of the Iraqi SWAT team, who are trained to fight terrorists, were killed Friday while another was injured in an armed attack at their vehicle near an air base in northern Tikrit, a police source said. The three were shot down when unidentified assailants dipped their car with machine gun fire in Salaheddine province, the source said. The injured was rushed to hospital. Earlier, one police officer was killed while five others were injured in a blast in southern Tikrit. Source: MENA
