
Three persons were killed and 45 others injured when special security forces opened fire at anti-Huthi protesters in al Bayda province in central Yemen.
The protesters tried to remove a checkpoint set up by the forces loyal to Huthis. Fierce clashes ensued, leaving casualties behind.
Meanwhile, Taiz Governor Shawqi Hael held an emgernecy meeting with political parties and powers to control the protests which have been sweeping the province since Saturday.
Security committees in Taiz have griven the troops loyal to Huthis a grace period to remove all checkpoints they have established on the outskirts of the province.
