Four Algerian soldiers were wounded on Friday in a bomb blast reportedly carried out a group affiliated with militant group al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). The attack happened in the town of Ptibazh, west of capital Algiers. A security source told Arab Today that the the four soldiers suffered \"serious injuries\" from the blast, and had been transferred to the central hospital in Blida, south-west Algeria. The source added that the army had been scouring the western coastal areas, where al-Qaeda militants are believed to be operating. Last month, four soldiers were killed, and three others wounded when two bombs targeted a military convoy in the same region.
